Resources
By far, information and referral services make up the bulk of ACDHH efforts. In 2000, more than 1.2 million calls were received on a variety of topics. Requests for information come from both people with and without hearing loss.
ACDHH maintains an extensive and up-to-date library related to Deaf culture and hearing loss. Books, DVDs, CDs, and videotapes are available. ACDHH employs Deaf and Hard of Hearing specialists who travel throughout the state to present workshops.
Community View
Produced by ACDHH, Community View is the longest-running television program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the country. All episodes are open captioned and interpreted by American Sign Language interpreters.
